Description
A modern ring from the A. Leondarakis collection with an original design.
The ring is handmade from solid 925 sterling silver while melted 18K gold has been incorporated onto the ring‘s surface. This has been done by a special technique (employed by only a few craftsmen) that ensures that the gold will not fade by time and that as the silver darkens by age the gold will be further highlighted. Thus the ring’s appearance improves as time passes, succumbing to a sort of metamorphosis. When the ring is polished it will of course return to its original state.
The ring is decorated with an impressive natural red tourmaline set in 18K gold, a solid 14K gold sea shell, and a solid 14K gold wave and has been named “Thalassa” (Greek name for sea).
It is discreetly stamped on the inside with the metal fineness stamp, the Workshop code ΩΙ34 and the ELKA quality hallmark (Hellenic Silver and Goldsmith Center).
Established in 1920, A. Leondarakis is a family run business with a long history committed in the production of quality, unconventional gold and silver jewelry with a recognizable identity.
The A. Leondarakis name ensures that this artifact was made with quality in mind and will be a possession to enjoy.
